Karting Australia has announced an eight-driver team for the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Portugal next month and there are some different names on the list compared to the RaceMax/Pro Tour team announcement last month.
An ambitious new seven-round State Series has been included in next year’s race calendar for Western Australia. Commencing at Albany in February, the yet-to-be-titled series will conclude with a grand finale at the Eastern Goldfields Dash-for-Cash meeting in November.
Team PR – Michael Patrizi led his team of nine drivers into the organisation’s first ever RoK Festival with former national champion Troy Loeskow headlining the gearbox class and AKC front runners Mika Lemasurier and Xavier Avramides taking on the KA2 Junior class.
It was time for the drawcard classes to race at Le Mans for the IAME World finals on the weekend, local Evan Giltaire taking out X30 Senior while the UK’s Gabriel Stilp (pictured) won X30 Junior for the second year in a row.
