Kip Joins Jess for Qld Titles

Jess Golding Motorsport (JGM) is excited to announce its driver lineup for the 2024 Queensland Kart Championships. This year’s event will take place at JGM’s home club, Ipswich Kart Club, with JGM fielding a nine-driver roster showcasing a mix of seasoned experience and emerging talent.

One of Australia’s most accomplished kart racers, Kip Foster will be racing in JGM colours for the championship event. Bringing with him an impressive karting resume of 5 Australian Championships, 4 SKUSA titles, multiple state championships, and the title of X30 World Champion. Foster will be competing in the TaG Heavy category for JGM and knows what it takes to win.

“I have been working closely with Jess building the team’s engines and am genuinely excited to race for her in her colours at her home track. Jess is certainly very passionate and is getting some great results with her drivers. Having come off a two-day test at the track just last weekend I can honestly say Ipswich is one of the toughest tracks in the world and I have some unfinished business here. I am ready to support the team and do the best that I can for JGM on and off the track” Kip said.

Also joining the team from Western Australia in the KA3 Senior class is Bailey Riordan. Bailey is a 2-time Western Australian State Champion, having stepped up into seniors this season he will add significant depth to the already front-running JGM KA3 Senior driver line-up.

Will Marshall (TaG Heavy) who returned to JGM this season has demonstrated front-running pace at Ipswich having podiumed this season since making the move. He will be ready to mark his mark at the event with Kip Foster running in the same class.

The JGM KA3 Senior line-up has been demonstrating strong pace this season at club, state and national levels (having won the Victorian Open KA3 Senior Light Championship earlier this year with Luca Belardo). Teammates Lucas Lesmes, Matt Price and Hamilton Rae have been consistent front-runners in the category at their home club and are ready to show Australia’s best what they can do.

FNQ driver Sebastian DiSalvo secured JGM’s first podium of the 2024 season earlier in the year at IKC and is ready to show his competitors in TaG Restricted Medium category a clean pair of heels at this year’s event.

In the over-subscribed classes, Teoman Hoskin (KA3 Junior Light) and Fraser Blyton (TaG Light) will both have their sights set on a strong result both solidifying their pace and results having joined the team mid-season.

Jess Golding, Team Principal of JGM, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event: “We are thrilled to announce such a strong lineup for the 2024 QLD Kart Championships at our home club. The combination of experience paired with new talent and energy within our team positions us well for success. Competing on home soil, and with the experience of Kip Foster in our colours, is incredibly exciting for myself and the drivers in our team. We will see you all in a couple of weeks!”
