It’s something we don’t see in Australia anymore, but it’s still popular overseas – kart racing on temporary circuits, “Street Meets” as they were often referred to.
The most famous is probably the annual SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, but as can be seen in this video, there is a rich history of street racing in the sport.
Veteran Victorian kart racer Matthew Wall has a YouTube channel (wallie15 – check it out HERE) and this is just one of many vids he’s put together from clips on the internet.
