Karting Australia has updated advice to its clubs, with no competition allowed this weekend in a number of affected Local Government Areas.
Partial Re-Opening For Victorian Kart Tracks
Kart tracks in regional Victoria will be permitted to re-open from tomorrow (August 10) and Karting Australia will allow its non-Metro clubs to run social and competition events this weekend.

KA Forms Women In Karting Commission
Karting Australia has formed a Women in Karting Commission to encourage and facilitate the development and participation of females across the sport. Victorian Sam Sera has been appointed head of the Commission, which includes karting identities from across the country.

World Championship Standoff!
It appears there’s a standoff between FIA Karting and the Manufacturers & Teams over the 2021 OK & OK-Junior World Championship. The FIA is adamant the event will take place in Brazil in December, but the teams & manufacturers are united that they won’t be there.

Newcastle & Victoria Shut Down

Mixed Conditions Challenge Top Half Karters
142 Kiwi karters were challenged by mixed weather and track conditions at the opening round of the 2021 Giltrap Group Top Half Series at Rotorua on the weekend.

New Winners at IAME Euro Series, Round 3
The IAME Euro Series reconvened at the 7 Laghi Kart track in Italy for the third round last weekend. Despite taking place in the middle of summer with 35-degree temperatures, thunderstorms were a frequent threat throughout (includes video stream).
AIDKA To Resume Racing in SA
AIDKA racers in South Australia are set to go back racing. The organisation posted a Covid update for its SA-based clubs outlining the requirements for this weekend.

AKC Update
Karting Australia has distributed an update regarding the remaining rounds of the 2021 Australian Kart Championship, reminding competitors the intent is to run all 5 rounds, but there is unlikely to be any racing prior October 1st.

Superkart Delays
Various upcoming major Superkart events have been affected by lockdowns and travel restrictions, including the second round of the SKA National Series plus the National Festival of Superkarts.
Re-Jigged Race Calendar for Victoria
Karting Victoria has released a new race calendar for the rest of the year. There will be no ‘open’ race meetings in August, however clubs will be able to run their ‘club day’ race and social events.

25th Running of Lismore Young Guns

COVID Update: Vic & SA Back On Track
