Victorian and South Australian karters can get back on track as of tomorrow, Wednesday July 28, however there are a number of requirements that need to be followed, and there will be no racing this weekend.
Communications from Karting Australia and AIDKA on the matter are below.
AIDKA
As of the announcements this morning AIDKA have decided to not allow any karting activity in SA this weekend 31st July and 1st August with the intention to resume karting in SA the following weekend 7th and 8th August unless advised differently.
This decision hasn’t been made lightly. With new conditions around mask wearing etc. not yet been signed off with the new directions and also clubs only being able to offer training it would not be a viable situation for clubs to run any event this weekend.
AIDKA will produce some guidelines moving forward for when we are able to resume racing again in SA. We will need to wait for further directions next week before this can be finalised.
Thanks for your understanding of the situation.
