Karting Victoria has issued the following update to its clubs regarding where it sits with the current COVID restrictions. Basically, there’s nothing happening until the State Government advises otherwise.

Despite the difficulties of various COVID lockdowns during 2021, the Ipswich Kart Club has still been able to conduct three Come-and-Try days this year. The most recent was on Saturday when 34 newbies got to try out the sport.

Victorian Calendar Re-Shuffled
The Karting Victoria race calendar has been re-configured yet again due to the changing circumstances of lockdowns and restrictions in the state. This includes the cancellation of what is traditionally one of the biggest events on the calendar, the annual City of Melbourne Titles.

Temporary Tyre Rule Rescinded
The temporary class rule adjustment for wet tyres in the Cadet and KA4 Junior classes has now been rescinded. With freight delays for the Bridgestone tyres now resolved, these classes revert to their regulated rubber from September 1st.
KA Covid Update for Qld Clubs
Karting Australia has updated advice to its clubs, with no competition allowed this weekend in a number of affected Local Government Areas.
Partial Re-Opening For Victorian Kart Tracks
Kart tracks in regional Victoria will be permitted to re-open from tomorrow (August 10) and Karting Australia will allow its non-Metro clubs to run social and competition events this weekend.
KA Forms Women In Karting Commission
Karting Australia has formed a Women in Karting Commission to encourage and facilitate the development and participation of females across the sport. Victorian Sam Sera has been appointed head of the Commission, which includes karting identities from across the country.
Newcastle & Victoria Shut Down
