ROUND 5 IKC CHAMPIONSHIP – 4th SEPTEMBER 2021 – IPSWICH KART CLUB – KA100 TITLES

Another huge day of racing will take place this Saturday at Ipswich Kart Club, with 210 entries confirmed for the 5th Round of the Ipswich Kart Club Championships and the KA100 Titles.

The Feature classes will be KA4 Junior Light, KA3 Junior and KA3 Senior.

KA4 Junior Light will have many contenders for the win from the likes of Isaac McNeill, Brodie Norris, Ryan Macmillan, Luke Rinaldi, Alex Gardner, Jordan Ensbey and Lachlan Platten.

KA3 Junior has a huge 25 entries and will be the highlight of the day with Zane Rinaldi, Alice Buckley, Sebastian Tupackovski, Jack Wells, Mika LeMasurier, Max Walton and Ryan Silcock amongst those fighting for the podium.

KA3 Senior is a surprisingly small field of only 10, but the quality is extremely high with Kurtis Tennant, Jace Matthews, Brent Reading, Declan Matthews and Keegan Fraser the likely frontrunners.

Qualifying for feature classes will start at 8.00am and racing is expected to go through to 7.30pm with most finals being raced under lights.

This Round also sees the return of the popular IKC Clubday Challenge Program which offers Group Winner opportunities in the “development classes” Cadet 9, Cadet 12, KA4 Junior Light, TAG Restricted Light, TAG Restricted Medium and TAG Restricted Masters. So effectively there are “races within a race” for those who may not normally be in contention for podium placings

Ipswich Kart Club will also be holding a special presentation during the day to honour IKC Life Member and karting legend Alf Capri, who passed away recently.

With the relatively free COVID restrictions Queensland currently has in place, all in attendance are asked to comply with current recommendations around social distancing and face masks and check in at the facility using the plentiful QR Code scanners available.
