DNF Foils Folley’s AKC Round

Driver PR – Entering the round leading the KZ2 points, Jay Coul could only qualify mid field and suffered a mechanical DNF in the heats. However, that fired a remarkable recovery that resulted in a podium.
Driver PR – A flat tyre in a heat race resulting in a DNF put Kristian Janev into the thick of pack of the X30 field at Emerald’s AKC round.
Team PR – Rush Performance made the trek interstate from their base in New South Wales to the fourth round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, fielding 12 drivers across four classes.
Team PR – CXR Race Engines had five drivers across three classes at last week’s AKC round in Queensland, but scored a remarkable 1-2-3 in the 125cc TaG class.
Team PR – Melbourne-based ProKarting fielded a team of eleven drivers, including several from New Zealand, at the fourth round of the National Championships in Emerald on the weekend.
Driver PR – Despite missing the opening round, Declan Matthews has put himself into contention for a top three placing in the Australian Championship with another strong performance and podium at Emerald.
Driver PR – Aiden Schweikert made the flight up to the sunshine state for the fourth round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship but endured a challenging race meeting in the oversubscribed Cadet 12 class.
Driver PR – Australian Kart Championship front runner Alex Ninovic has expressed disappointment at losing series points from being “on the receiving end of other driver’s mistakes” at the Emerald round.
Driver PR – Cadet 9 front-runner Cruz Kelly continued his strong run of national and state level results with a dominant display at the Emerald AKC round last weekend.
Team RP – Energy Corse Australia drivers Kurtis Tennant and Ky Burke have won three state titles across two events on consecutive weekends.
There was plenty of promise without ultimate reward for the six-strong group of kiwi karters who ventured across the Tasman for the fourth round of the SP Tool Australian Karting Championships in Queensland.
Last year, Levi Lord broke his arm in a crash at the Pucka round of the Golden Power Series. This year, the Cadet 9 driver returned to the same event and was never out of the top ten.
Driver PR – Riley Harrison made the long trek up to the Northern Territory Kart Championships and took a string of victories, ending the event as the Champion of Cadet 12.
Team PR – Brett Jenkin was the top scorer for the DJM Race Engineering team at last weekend’s Golden Power Series round, winning the TaG Restricted Heavy class.
