Lord Beats Target at Rochester

Levi Lord returned to the Golden Power Series over the weekend for the penultimate round of the championship at the Rochester Kart Club. Lord has been on the comeback trail after a big accident in the 2021 season had him on the side lines for a long period of time.

Lord was looking to come home with a top 5 result across the weekend and was ready to do battle in Cadet 9! Lord used his 2 practices in the morning to get up to speed and hit the track for qualifying for the all important timed session. The Pulse Tuning powered entry was quickly into the top 10 and was pushing hard on to try and get into the top 5. Levi was improving as the session went on and was right in the battle for front positions. Lord stopped the clock in position 6 overall, being off row 3 for the opening heats.

Heat 1 was the opening race of the weekend on Saturday afternoon and Levi was ready to go racing. The Elixir Compound Pharmacy backed entry got an excellent start and moved straight into the top 5 as the race began. Lord stayed in that position for majority of the race but was able to capitalise on 4th spot in the back end of the race. Levi started his racing with a brilliant 4th position, moving up 2 spots from his starting position!

Levi was able to finish his weekend on a high and crossed the line in 4th spot in a brilliant result! Levi’s parents spoke post weekend on their young sons driving.

“We are really pleased with Levi’s performance this weekend. Since returning to the field earlier this year, Levi’s worked tirelessly to make some gains and improve his performance on the track. We are now seeing the results of his resilience, hard work and unwavering dedication. He lost some pace in Heat 3 due to a mechanical issue, however we made some adjustments and reset for the final, coming home with a podium in P4. We are so proud of how far Levi has come this year and are really looking forward to the final round of the Golden Power Series in October. We’d like to thank all the volunteers and the Rochester Kart Club who worked tirelessly to put on such a fantastic event over the weekend.”

Lord will have a busy finish to the 2022 season and is looking for more strong results.
