The two Australians that made the finals at the second round of the Champions Of The Future Euro Series both finished their final in sixth place.
In OK Junior, William Calleja qualified second and had some strong heat results, but one poor heat dropped him to sixth in the ranking, the placing he would finish the final. Calleja holds second place on points in the Championship.

In OK Senior, Lewis Francis qualified 24th and made excellent progress during the meeting to start the final off grid 5. He got up to fourth in the final but ultimately finished sixth.
“Strong weekend in Portugal which moves me up to P4 in the championship” he wrote. “Really happy to be fighting up the front all week and I have great confidence going into the European championship next week.”

Two other Australians competed, but did not make the final. Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi was 46th in qualifying for Junior, but dropped to 80th.
James Anagnostiadis was ranked 46th in OK (after qualifying 62nd) so, despite the progress, missed the final.
