The first KA race meeting of the year in South Australia has been cancelled.
The Southern Go Kart Club has confirmed the Australia Day Classic will not take place due to a lack of available officials and volunteers to run the event.
It was to have taken place at Bolivar Raceway on January 26.
“A new date for our first race meeting together with our 2025 calendar will be shared shortly” the club posted. (EDIT: the Karting SA site shows an ‘Australia Day Classic’ on February 2)
“Apologies to those who have been looking forward to the event and rescheduled their long weekend to attend.
