The Victorian karting season’s traditional end-of-year endurance race will finish under lights for the first time in the event’s history.
“How bloody good will this be!!” the event’s co-coordinator, David Sera, posted on social media.
“Our karting enduro is set to be a twilight race this year that ends in the evening, under lights with the Melbourne backdrop in the background. What a cool way to end the year & promote karting with a spectacle.”
Sera said karts haven’t raced under lights at the Todd Road circuit for over 20 years, “so (this) might be your one & only opportunity!”.
At the time of publication, the Supplementary Regulations for the December 15 event had not yet been finalised. But when entries open, Sera expects the field to fill within an hour.
