There are big changes happening with Nick Percat’s JND Racing team – it will relocate from Melbourne to Queensland and switch from blue FA Karts to red BirelART chassis for the 2025 season.
Percat confirmed the team he runs with Jake Spencer and Daniel Rochford has formed an official partnership to become a factory-supported BirelART team ahead of the 2025 season.
The squad will be known as BirelART by JND.
“Excited to be joining forces with BirelART, it’s a privilege to be running a race team under such a prestigious banner in the karting scene,” Percat said.
“I think it’s a very good opportunity for the JND team to be associated with a major karting manufacturer and one that has great distribution, product knowledge, and customer support here in Australia.”
“The support from Ronni Sala at BirelART and Michael Patrizi at Patrizicorse has been great.”
While the team will no longer be using the Kart Republic manufactured FA (Fernando Alonso) Kart, it will retain ties with Alonso’s A14 Management company, with further news on that relationship expected in the coming months.
Michael Patrizi, Managing Director of Patrizicorse (Australian importer of BirelART), said: “We are very happy JND has chosen BirelART products as their chassis of choice in this next important part of their journey as a racing team.”
President of BirelART, Ronni Sala, welcomed Percat and the entire JND team.
“Two years ago, we made the decision to retire the Ricciardo Kart brand and refocus on the original, BirelART” Sala said.
“The journey since has been incredible, and having JND on board as an official team is a testament to the hard work paying off.”
The Italian kart manufacturer will provide direct support in conjunction with BirelART Racing Australia to the JND squad, a crucial asset heading into the 2025 campaign.
