Max lovingly restored many vintage karts. He was especially proud of his yellow TMAX, a Darcy Dart with twin McC’s. Max owned and restored this kart with his great mate Tom Hearne. They displayed this beauty at over 18 shows. In 2008 at the Numurkah Vintage Grand Prix they were honoured to be awarded Best Kart at the meeting by the late Duffy Livingston.

It’s clear that Max’s presence and contributions will be deeply missed within the VHKA community. His memory will live on through the friendships he forged, the karts he lovingly restored, and the positive impact he had on the club. It’s heartening to know that his fellow VHKA mates are committed to continuing his legacy and taking care of the club he loved so much.

Rest in peace, Max. Your passion and dedication have left a lasting mark on the Vintage & Historic Karts of Australia Club and the people whose lives you touched. More information is on the pics below.
