DRAG RACE – Superbike V RatRod kart

TARGET SMASHED – Combined Districts Kart Club has smashed the target it set itself to create a memorial display at the track for the late Russell Grimson. Originally budgeting $460, the club raised over double that in 24 hours. At the time of publication, it now exceeds $1000. More about the effort was published on Tuesday HERE.

AKC PROGRAM – Here’s the official race program for the opening round of the 2021 Australian Kart Championship. It includes the timetable for both days, list of entrants in each class plus further info. The event takes place at Ipswich on February 19 and 20 (Friday/Saturday).

VIC EVENTS – Mitchel McLellan of MMS Commentating has confirmed he’ll be driving the microphone at a large number of karting events in Victoria this year. He also plans to submit race reports from many of them to KartSportNews. He’s also offering a PR service to drivers and/or teams who want their own race reports or media pieces prepared. “I’m doing the Vic Open, State Cup, City of Melbourne, whole Power Series, whole Metro Series and Red Plate” he told KartSportNews.
