Young Kiwi karter Jacob Douglas heads to Thailand this week to contest the opening round of the ROK Cup Thailand series being run in conjunction with the second round of this year’s Kart Championship of Thailand meeting at the Bira Kart Circuit at Pattaya (south-west of Bangkok) this weekend.

There he met members of the Cavallino Ferrari and Singha Beer-sponsored Thai team, who extended the invitation which led to Jacob travelling to Thailand for the second round of Thailand’s national championship series and the ROK Cup meeting at the Bira Kart Circuit this weekend.
The Cavallino Ferrari and Singha Beer team is run by European Champion Carlo Van Dam however long-time mentors Matthew and Tiffany Hamilton from Christchurch’s WKS kart shop and team will join Jacob and his father Craig for the Thailand trip.
Later in the year Jacob will be back on an aeroplane heading for the United States where he has several race meetings scheduled with the Aluminos team.
