Almost 100 Superkart drivers are headed for Phillip Island this weekend for the second and final round of the 2022 ZuCoins Australian Superkart Championship. Click through for the preview and see who’s on form in each class.

Team PR – Energy Corse Australia took a team of six drivers across four classes to the Newcastle City Cup for the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship shakedown over the weekend.
Driver PR – James Lodge contested the Newcastle City Cup on the weekend in preparation for the upcoming AKC round, and while he ran in the top three of KZ2, ultimately didn’t finish the event.

The Cooloola Coast Kart Club hosted the opening round of the Twin Track Challenge on Sunday, over 100 drivers across two and four-stroke classes scoring points before moving on to Bundaberg’s round 2. The Noise reports (with video).
Nearly 200 karters hit the track for the Newcastle City Cup on the weekend, many of them using the event as preparation for the Australian Kart Championship finale at the venue later this month.

Driver PR – After coming off a strong result at the June club meet, Ashton Cattach returned to the Eastern Lions Kart Club for the July round of the club’s championship and finsihed the day on the podium once more.

Driver PR – Archie Bristow ramped up his preparation for this weekend’s Panduit City of Melbourne Titles by racing at the Go Kart Club of Victoria club meet over the weekend – and dominating the Cadet 9 class.
In preparation for the Grand Final of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, PCR driver Alex Ninovic put in a strong performance at the weekend’s Newcastle City Cup race meeting.

Team PR – A number of the drivers in the Patrizicorse tent “were a little unlucky on Sunday” at round 4 of the Australian Kart Championship with several potential podiums going by the wayside.

Karting Australia has reminded potential competitors there is qualification criteria and eligibility restrictions for certain drivers around the second edition of the Ultimate Club Racer event at Monarto later this year.

Driver PR – Having not long ago moved to the senior ranks, Cohen Day travelled to Queensland for the fourth round of the Australian Kart Championship and ended up coming home with a top ten finish in X30.

Driver PR – After a promising start and a heat win, a double DNF was not the way Cooper Folley expected to finish the fourth round of the Australian Kart Championship.
Driver PR – AKC round one winner Max Chudasko qualified outside the top ten in Emerald, but raced his way back to a top five in the TaG 125 class.

Driver PR – Entering the round leading the KZ2 points, Jay Coul could only qualify mid field and suffered a mechanical DNF in the heats. However, that fired a remarkable recovery that resulted in a podium.
Driver PR – Daniel Quimby returned to the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship over the weekend and was looking to have a strong, clean run through the round.
Team PR – Energy Corse Australia has been having a block buster 2022 and had a twelve driver team across seven classes at the penultimate round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship.
Driver PR – A flat tyre in a heat race resulting in a DNF put Kristian Janev into the thick of pack of the X30 field at Emerald’s AKC round.
Driver PR – Having been on the podium at the previous round of the Championship, Jett Kocoski was looking to continue his strong 2022 season at the recent Emerald AKC round.
Team PR – With the team locking out the front row in qualifying, it was Patrick Buckley who came out the best placed of the Project X Racing team drivers, winning the AKC round last weekend.
