Ballarat Kart Club has received a community grant from its local Golden Plains Shire Council.
Over $90,000 of funding was awarded to nine local community groups through the 2026 Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program.
The kart club received $14,180 to “support the Ballarat Kart Club State Cup Infrastructure Upgrade”. The largest single allocation ($23,000) went to the Bannockburn Cricket Club.

“The works made possible by this grant will achieve a 30-kart grid capacity, making us eligible for the prestigious Victorian State Cup and also assisting with large events such as the annual Victorian Country Series round” the club posted.
“We thank Berrybank Wind Farm and Golden Plains Shire Council for their support of the club, as well as Karting Victoria and Karting Australia for their assistance with the project planning and approvals.”
