The FIA is deeply saddened by the death of Maurizio Righetti on 10 July 2026.
Active and well-known in the karting world for nearly 60 years, both as a designer and manufacturer of accessories and chassis, the Righetti Ridolfi brand has lost one of its pillars with the passing of Maurizio Righetti.
Together with his brother Gianpaolo, Maurizio had taken over from his father Enzo, the company’s founder, to continue the development and growth of the business, which resulted in particular in new facilities in Sona, near Verona, and an expansion of the range of products manufactured.

Although he had once been a karting driver, Maurizio very quickly devoted himself exclusively to the future of the company, where the family’s influence has traditionally always been strong and a top priority, characterised by an unwavering passion for karting.
The CIK-FIA extends its deepest condolences to his wife Serena, his daughters Michela and Deborah, his son Riccardo, his brother Gianpaolo, his nephews Diego and Alberto, who all are part of the Karting company, and his family.
