After a period of closures and consolidation, a new kart shop has opened in Melbourne.
RPM Karting is a new retail outlet run by experienced hands supporting major karting brands, including Arrow, FA and DAP karts, Kartech products and IAME engines.
The business has been established by Roger Polak, a karter with over 35 years experience and the original founder of Melbourne Kart Centre in 2002.
“My brother and I sold MKC in 2016 and having just relocated back to Melbourne, I could see the need for a new professional kart shop in Melbourne’s South-East suburbs” Polak told KartSportNews.
“In building RPM Karting it was very important for us to be back involved with long time associates such as DPE and Remo Racing.
“It made perfect sense to reconnect with Arrow karts and to add newer DPE brands such as FA Kart and DAP.”
It is a move that DPE’s Steve Gawne approves.

“DPE is delighted to get back involved with the Polak brothers” he said.
“They have always been great supporters of DPE Karting products and won a lot of race events in the past. The new shop and race team at RPM Karting will be an exciting addition to the karting scene. Can’t wait to see what they can do!”
“For those who don’t remember our last shop, we were heavily involved in the sport and won everything from club race days up to National Championships” Polak added.
“We are very keen to do it all again and welcome customers from the old days through to people just starting out in the sport. We have something for everyone!”
