The makeup of Team Australia at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals has been confirmed. Australian distributor IKD officially announced its five-driver team, made up of class winners from the Rotax National Cup at Albury Wodonga on the weekend.

The ‘Rotax Worlds’ take place in Bahrain from November 29 to December 6.

Team Australia – The Drivers

Hamish Campbell – Junior MAX

After a very impressive 2025 season and gaining lots of international experience – winning round two of the RMC Winter Trophy in Orlando and finishing second at the Rotax Asia Trophy, the multiple-time AKC podium finisher is having his second go at the Grand Finals after his debut in 2024 in Italy where he has shown his great talent.

Jace Matthews – Senior MAX

Dominating two classes at the Victorian Karting Championship in Melbourne, the Brisbane located multi Australian champion will be a force to be reckoned with in Bahrain. Jace has raced overseas a few times but Bahrain will be his first ever Rotax Grand Finals of his karting carrier.

Brent Reading – Senior MAX

The 2025 QLD State Champion in TaG Heavy, qualified for a Senior MAX ticket at the Grand Finals through the Rotax Heavy class at the National Cup where he showed great pace all weekend. Consistently ending up on the podium throughout his carrier, Brent brings lots of valuable experience to Bahrain for his first ever World Finals.

Harrison Hoey – Rotax DD2

2025 marks Harry’s fourth Rotax Grand Finals and third consecutive year to qualify and represent Team Australia on the world stage. The incredibly talented, Queensland-based, Rotax National Champion and two-time Australian Kart Champion, dominated the DD2 category at the Rotax National Cup all weekend.

Tezza Hanly – Rotax DD2 Masters

New South Welshman Terry Hanly earned his ticket to Bahrain with a great performance in DD2-Masters in Albury last weekend. Having experienced the magic of the Grand Finals in Brasil in 2018 the Rotax veteran is ready to show his capabilities against 36 of the top drivers from all around the world.
