Gold Coaster Hamish Campbell has capped off a stellar junior career in Australia by successfully defending his Australian Junior Rotax Title at the 2025 RMC Australia National Cup in Albury-Wodonga over the weekend.

It was a challenging event where not everything went his way, but in a weekend defined by pace, perseverance, and consistency, Campbell dug deep to secure victory in a thrilling Final and claim back-to-back titles.

His performances across the season, competing in Rotax both domestically and abroad in Thailand, Malaysia, and North America, have now earned him the honour of representing Australia at the RMC World Finals in Bahrain this December.

Campbell’s determination was on full display at Albury-Wodonga. Battling illness for much of the weekend, he showed grit and resilience, fighting to the very end to seal the title and further cement his reputation as one of Australia’s brightest karting talents.

“To win the Rotax title once again, this time in Victoria, is something I’m very proud of,” said Hamish.

“It’s a fantastic way to close out my junior career in Australian karting. The entire OTK team has worked incredibly hard, and I want to give special thanks to Troy Hunt for believing in my ability and giving me the opportunity to represent the biggest and most prestigious kart brand in the world throughout 2025.

“To my mechanic Reif ‘Ronnie’ Corbett, your faultless work and support this season has been invaluable, I couldn’t have achieved this without you in my corner. To Alberto Viglino, whose tireless travel from Italy throughout the season, mentoring and support has been pivotal in our performance as a team in 2025. To Jason Burns, who has supported me across both Australian and Asian campaigns, thank you. The dedication from everyone involved has been exceptional, and I’m extremely grateful.

“Finally, the opportunity to drive for Mr. Robazzi is an honour very few will ever experience. Representing this prestigious brand and contributing to rebuilding its legacy in Australia is something I will always treasure.”

This victory cements Campbell’s status as Australia’s leading Junior Rotax driver, having now secured the national title in both 2024 and 2025. With his domestic campaign complete, his focus now shifts to the international stage. Next week he will contest the final round of the FIA Academy Trophy in Cremona, Italy, before closing out his junior career with an all-out assault on the coveted RMC World Final in Bahrain this December.
