New Owner for Omega Karts

Adelaide-based Omega Racing Karts has changed hands.

New owner Paul Walsh, who also owns Edwards Kart Wheels and Devil Race Karts (dirt karts), announced the new chapter for Omega today.

“I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ll be officially taking over Omega Karts from Kym Pearce, who has been at the heart of this business for over 40 years” Walsh posted.

“Kym’s dedication to karting, his honesty, and his deep technical knowledge have made Omega Karts a trusted name in the sport — not just in South Australia, but around the country and overseas.

“It’s an honour to be handed the keys (and maybe even the apron!) by someone so respected in the community.”

Walsh added he’s committed to rebuilding and modernising the shop while “keeping the personal, grassroots service Kym was known for”.

He also declared there will be support for drivers across dirt, bitumen & speedway karting.

“Massive thanks again to Kym for his years of service — and for trusting me to carry Omega forward.”

Successful Australian made karts gracing the front cover of KartOz Magazine in 2003. Omega team’s Paul Pittam (#99 who’d just won both Junior classes at the City of Adelaide Titles) and just-up-from Rookies at the time, Andrew Cash.
