The 2025 Texas Sprint Racing Series hosted its second event of the season with the Spring Round-Up taking place at the Amarillo Kart Complex over the May 29-May 31 dates. The Panhandle, Texas facility welcomed just over 180 entries across the 10 divisions for the Superkarts! USA and International Kart Federation regional program. By lap seven, Skinner was shuffled down the order and eventually retired. Hernandez claimed the lead and showed the way for eight laps before Burke took over the position with two laps remaining, bringing defending champion Jesus Vasquez Jr. with him. On the final lap, Vasquez and Hernandez tangled, allowing Burke to cross the line as the provisional winner.
During the race, multiple penalties were called in by on-track officials and reviewed, along with multiple protests filed post-race. Official results saw penalties to Burke for scrubbing tires, along with runner-up finisher Phillips. This promoted Rudolph to victory, placing Burke second and Phillips third. The following is a statement from Texas Sprint Racing Series regarding the situation; “It has come to our attention that an inaccurate official main event results in the KA100 Senior group was published and used for our podium ceremony. The results failed to include a successful protest/penalty overturn of “Blocking” by competitor 979 (Rudolph). Regrettably, this action directly reflects the final official results of the main event and the final podium results. We apologize for the confusion.”
