The inaugural Ipswich Race of Champions (IROC) will take place at Ipswich Kart Club on Friday the 9th, Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of May, with a cash prize pool of 20K and additional random prizes.
The classes contesting the Ipswich Race of Champions will be the eight AKC classes; Cadet 9, Cadet 12, KA3 Junior (Championship weight), KA2 Junior, X30 (Championship weight), KA3 Senior (Championship weight), TAG (Championship weight) and KZ2.
In addition, IROC will host Round 2 of the Rotax Life Series and the classes on offer will be Rotax Junior, Rotax Senior Light, Rotax Senior Heavy, DD2 and DD2 Masters.
Ipswich Race of Champions will also be the 3rd and Final Round of the 2025 Ipswich Kart Club “Pineapple Cup” for KA2 Junior and KZ.
The prize pool per class will be $1500.00, the winner receiving $750.00, 2nd receiving $500.00 and 3rd receiving $250.00.
All classes will have official practice and qualifying on the Friday, with 3 Heats on Saturday and then all the Finals on Sunday morning, with Presentation expected to be completed by 1.30pm on Sunday.
Entries are expected to open on Tuesday evening the 15th of April and Cadet 12 and KA3 Junior will be open to oversubscribed entries. All other classes will be capped at 40 entries.
This event will also have the usual Ipswich Kart Club live to Youtube feed on both Saturday and Sunday for all the Heats and Finals.
