Will Thompson and Pip Casabene reported their lead-up tests to Remo Racing, which are published below.

Senior X30 #329 (Kart Republic/VDK Racing/Komet tyres)
“I have just completed my first two days of testing with VDK Racing. The team has been incredibly welcoming, and everyone is easy to get along with.
I have great team support and VDK are focused on helping me achieve the best possible results.
On the first day, we focused on learning the Komet tyre and getting familiar with the race track. The track is unlike any track I have raced on in Australia, being twice as long as some of the tracks back home and featuring a long straight where speeds exceed 130 kph in the X30 class.
The second day was dedicated to fine-tuning my driving and perfecting racing lines. With the exceptional guidance of VDK driver coaches Kenny and Ulysse, I was able to gain significant speed and improve my performance.
Towards the end of the day, we tested some setup changes, leaving both the team and me feeling confident as we head into official practice on Monday.
VDK Racing’s expertise and support have made these first two days of testing incredibly productive, and I’m looking forward to building on this momentum as the sessions continue.”

Senior X30 #242 (Kart Republic/Fusion Motorsport/Komet tyres)
“I have just completed three days of intense testing at Zuera with Fusion Motorsport adapting to the demands of the track and worked closely with the team.
Day one was focused on learning to drive on the Komet tire and becoming familiar with the track. The track here is vastly different from the typical tracks back home, with lots of fast, flowing corners and a very long straight where speed reaches over 130 kph with an IAME X30 engine.
On the second day of testing, the focus shifted to setting a competitive lap time. I spent considerable time reviewing lots of GoPro footage and analysing data to find every possible fraction of a second to improve my performance.
The final day, was dedicated tested various setup changes with the go kart, using both new and old tyres. By the end of the day, the team and I had fine-tuned a setup we were confident in.
Overall, the testing was incredibly productive, I not only gained valuable experience on the track and in the kart but also got to know the team and all the mechanics in preparation for Mondays official practice session.
The mornings here have been freezing cold, with temperatures as low as 4ºC adding an extra layer of challenge to the experience.
I can’t wait to start racing on Monday against other drivers from around the world.”
