Build Your Own Kart

In the early days of karting, some competitors would build their own kart. As the sport evolved and karts became off-the-shelf items you could buy from a professional retailer, the number of people making their own fell away to basically zero.

Alan Dove (formerly of Karting1) is back working on a project he started three years ago – to build his own kart chassis from scratch. This ‘episode 4’ includes playing around with bending, notching and welding some bits of tube.
