Alpine Academy driver Aiva Anagnostiadis was up against 89 other drivers at the Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Cup in Spain on the weekend, and outdid most of them to line up in the Senior MAX final.
Contesting the event with Dan Holland Racing (on LN Kart), Aiva had earlier qualified in 20th position. Mixed results in the heats (9, 20, 6, 17, 17) dropped her to 45th in the ranking.
“I got taken out twice in heat four, and made some driving errors on my behalf in heat five” she admitted on social media.
A strong pre-final (20th to P12) put her in the final from grid 33. She went on to finish 31st.
