Queensland Vintage & Historic Karting stalwart and foundation member, Mike (Mikey) Best has passed away. QVHK Secretary Darryl Bertram said Mike passed away peacefully on Saturday.
“I can most certainly concur with Darryl’s comments but also add Mike’s friendship, council and compassion will be sorely missed” QVHK’s Allan King posted.
From Darryl Bertram, Secretary QVHK:
“Mike’s partner, Linda has advised me that on Saturday 10th February Mike passed away peacefully and pain free in the Redcliffe Palliative Care Unit.
“Mike was a very big part of our club, he was there right from the start and held the Secretary position in those early days.

“He was a real gentleman and huge Vintage Karting enthusiast, his company in any circumstances was wonderful. May he now rest in peace.
“The entire QVHK membership who knew him will, no doubt, miss him greatly but at least we had the opportunity and good fortune to know him as we shared the passion for all things Vintage Karting.
“Our sincere condolences to his partner Linda and his other family and friends.”
