Supercars driver and kart race team owner Nick Percat suffered a significant injury while working on a kart in the lead up to this year’s Bathurst 1000.
Percat admitted to the injury when prompted during a video interview by Speedcafe. He was in Sepang at the time, working on Brad Majman’s junior kart.
“We cut the axles down to change the grip level” Nick explained. “I was cutting that and managed, basically, to cut my finger off in the process. Thankfully it was my left hand.”
