The Southern Go Kart Club hosted an endurance race for 4SS Senior at Bolivar on Sunday, the club reporting feedback that the event was a cracker.

A full field of 36 karts (72 drivers all up, split across ‘Pro’ and ‘Pro-am’ divisions) fronted for the race, the first time a full grid had assembled on the venue’s new Championship track layout.

Amazingly, everyone got through the first turn without incident, but 11 of the teams failed to finish the 90-minute-plus-one-lap race.

Eleven teams cracked the 100-lap barrier, the top five teams all clocking 102 laps.
