Intrepid Returns to Australia

The Intrepid brand of kart returned to Australia last year with WA-based Eurotek becoming the local importer and distributor for the Italian manufacturer.

After testing various chassis late last year, and with a major shipment now delivered, Eurotek offer three models to the Australian market: the Speedy chassis for Mini/Cadet classes, the Cruiser MS3 for OK/KA/TaG categories and Cruiser KZ for KZ2 and Rok Shifter.

Additionally, Eurotek will debut its own “Intrepid Driver Program Australia” in 2024.

The goal is to reward the most successful Intrepid driver in the country with an opportunity to race on the World stage at one of the major global events in the latter months of 2024. This could be the ROK World Finals, the IAME World Finals, ROK Vegas, SKUSA SuperNats or the WSK Final Cup.

“The event type will, as best possible, coincide with the class of competition raced in Australia in 2024 and be subject to entry availability” Eurotek’s Daryl Henderson informed KartSportNews.

The program will begin on 1 January 2024 and run through to October 1st* (based on the 2023 Karting Calendar to include as many State Title events as possible).

Drivers will need to upload their results (including chassis number) to the Eurotek website for verification and to earn program points.

Intrepid has won multiple World and European championships over the years and several of the current F1 grid – Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, George Russell, Alex Albon & Yuki Tsunoda – raced with Intrepid prior to F1.
