100+ at Auskarts Round 7

The 7th Round of the Auskart Racings SE Qld Championship has been run and won on the weekend with 104 4-stroke specialists competing for the top step of the podium.

Queensland’s Premiere 4-Stroke Club, Auskart Racing, headed to Cooloola Coast Kart Club for this round, and the action was hot all weekend. With Practice, Quali and 6 races for each class on offer, it was always going to be a cracker value packed weekend.

Always a delight to watch, the Bambinos never fail to entertain with Sophie Hay taking out 1st and Myah Cavallro in 2nd. Great to see some young ladies loving their sport and doing so well.

The hotly contested Cadet class was full of great battles all day with the final results being 1st to Zade Sturgess, 2nd Maxwell Padilha and 3rd Caine Caldwell.

Junior Light saw Jackson Nott taking out 1st place with only 3 points separating Elijah White in 2nd and Brayden Herrick in 3rd.

The Junior Class also provided for some great racing with Jarred White bringing home the gold in 1st with Fraser Sturgess in 2nd and Jaxon Duong taking the 3rd step on the podium.

The Senior Light class was equally as close with on 2 points separating Lochlan Shearsmith in 1st, Oliver Kerr in 2nd and Brock Fox rounding out the podium in 3rd.

Aston Edwards put in a stellar performance to finish 1st in Senior Medium ahead of Chris Lusty and Roberto Padilha in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

In Senior Heavy, again only 2 points separated Mario Cavarllaro in 1st and Daniel Clout in 2nd with Harrison Arendt in 3rd.

An impressive performance from Cooper Summers saw him not only take his first round win but in perfect style with a P1 in Quali and a clean sweep in all 6 races. Matthew Peters took out 2nd and Grant Edwards 3rd.

In Performance Single Medium Mykal George took the top step with Lochlan Shearsmith in 2nd and Stephen George in 3rd.

The final class saw the third clean sweep for the weekend with Zachary Fill Qualifying P1 in Performance Twin and taking the win in all races, with Thomas Ludbey in 2nd.

Plenty of points were earned toward the 8 round Championship, and we now turn our attention to the final round at the Warwick Kart Club later this month 27th-29th October. This final round of the SE Qld Championship Series offers both 4 stroke Sprint and Endurance racing.

The points are tight in so many classes. Going into the final round, not even one podium spot from Bambino, Cadet, Junior Light or Junior has been settled yet. Not one complete podium across the whole of the club has been settled yet. In fact, of the 33 SE Qld Championship podium spots available, only 8 are locked in. The final showdown is set to be a cracker!
