Another belter weekend of grass roots kart racing at its best. This time 83 entries took to the Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club circuit which was essentially a shake down meeting for the upcoming Bob Gartside Raceday.

Once again some very exciting racing across the 4 heats & feature race format for each class. Robert Peterson took another victory in Junior Group 1, which is becoming a bit of a habit for him. Young Gordon Yarrow had his number 27 shaved into his hair and it worked at least as a confidence boost, giving him victory in the Rookies.

Rahnee McNae ran two classes and took victory in one, that being Junior Group 2. 100cc 2-Stroke Juniors was won by Kallan Manning, but he was run mighty close by the returning Hamilton Rae.

Tom Lester grabbed a great win in Senior Group 1 and Chris Heggie did the same in Senior Group 2. In Group 3 of the seniors, it was a tie between Ross Jones & Zoya Lebar.

Other great class victories for Gold Coast Jonny, Quick Nic McDowell and Shane Manning. In the 125cc two strokes, Jason Gislingham and Kasey Odger couldn’t be separated.

Next club event is the Test-N-Tune on Tuesday July 11. Another Test-N-Tune will be on Friday July 14 followed immediately by the annual Bob Gartside Race Day on Saturday the 15th.
