Another fantastic karting event was completed on the weekend, this time is was the Golden Nugget C & D Titles at Cooloola Coast Kart Club.

Almost 70 drivers enjoyed a 2-day event which saw practice until lunchtime Saturday, then qualifying and heat 1 in the afternoon. The rest of the heats and finals were completed by 3pm Sunday.

The qualifying in some classes was definitely a sign of what was to come – the 4SS Senior Light class saw the top 6 separated by less than 2 tenths! 4SS Juniors were equally close and once again KA3 Junior & Cadet 12 provided some outstanding racing.

Just two seconds separated the podium getters in 4SS Senior Medium with Gabriel Goodchild taking the win ahead of David Ohl & Andy Mann. Maxwell reibelt took victory in the 4SS Senior Light final after qualifying 5th fastest!

In the Cadet 12 class, Michael Quintiliani grabbed the win ahead of Jack Jensen & Harper May.

After a tricky start in the final of the 4SS Juniors, Troy Bowden eventually reeled in early leader Jaxon Duong to take victory. Luca Goodchild came home third.
