Auskarts at Cooloola – KartSportNews

The sun has set on round 2 of the Auskarts South East Queensland championship and what a weekend it was up at Cooloola Coast Kart Club – 166 entries received for the two days of racing!

Sprint races on Saturday saw the usual suspects slugging it out around this fabulous circuit. Sunday was enduro day where my good self The NOISE teamed up with Alan Lippiatt in the Thompson Karting Supplies team CRG #45 entry. We had an absolute blast!

Both days ran faultlessly and smiles all around once again from the biggest 4-stroke racing club in the country.

In the sprint racing, 29 junior karts took to the track and with juniors having junior lights in amongst them, it made for super competitive racing with an overtake at almost every other corner! Great to watch.

The Cadets were also very competitive with Zade Sturgess, Caine Caldwell, Jenson Clout & Aleks Lazdins being the drivers most dominant.

In the Senior Mediums, another great class to watch, saw the Thompson Karting Supplies entry of Elliot Thompson dominate early proceedings until the final when at last Brynn Stewart got the kart on rails and managed to keep Elliot behind him to win the last race.
