Auskart Calendar Shake-Up

For the first time in its history, the 4-stroke based Auskart Racing organisation will not be competing at its home circuit in 2023, but will instead venture into new territories.

While revealing the rest of its 2023 race calendar, Auskart stated there is an “odd mixed feeling” about not racing at the iconic Lakeside Park Raceway, Queensland.

“We continue to enjoy a fantastic relationship with Lakeside and its management team, however things just haven’t aligned this year” the club posted on social media.

At the recent AGM, members voted to travel North, South and West for 2023.

Auskart will return to Ipswich, Cooloola Coast and (for the first time in a long time) Warwick. Additionally, it will race for the very first time at Bundaberg, Lismore and Coffs Harbour.

“With the change in circumstance at Lakeside, we can’t run our traditional Lakeside Championship” the club explained.

“Instead we will expand the super successful SE-QLD Championship to eight rounds, plus we will run a 5-round Endurance Series hosted at Ipswich (2 rounds), Cooloola (2 rounds) & Warwick (1 round).
