Several of the Mini class drivers at the recent WSK Champions Cup at Lonato come from notable motor racing stock.
Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Mika Hakkinen was in attendance to follow the karting debut of his two young children, Ella and Daniel.
Among the children of famous drivers, Henri Kumpen was also present. Henri is the son of the former Belgian driver Anthony Kumpen, cousin of Sophie Kumpen, also a successful driver and mother of Max Verstappen.

Unfortunately, neither of the Hakkinen’s made it through to their final, however Kumpen finished P8 in the Mini U10 class having earlier qualified P2.
