KNSW Says No to Rotax Pro Tour

Karting NSW will not sanction a Rotax Pro Tour series in 2023. The governing body posted the following statement on its website confirming a proposed agreement between it and RaceMax Pty Ltd will not go ahead.

Decision on RaceMax Pty Ltd Agreement and the ROTAX ProTour

Over the last few months, the Karting NSW board has been considering an agreement between Karting NSW and RaceMax Pty Ltd. The content of the agreement has been discussed in detail focussing on the benefits that such an agreement would bring to KNSW and its members.

The Board have concluded that the proposed agreement between Karting NSW and Racemax Pty Ltd will not be proceeding. As such, Karting NSW will not be approving or sanctioning a Rotax Pro Tour Series for 2023 and the dates that have been allocated for 2023 will be removed from the Karting NSW calendar.

The various Rotax classes still exist in the Karting NSW rule book and clubs are allowed to offer these classes as part of their sanctioned events.
