Mothers Day Meeting at Warwick

by Kev ‘The Noise’ Davies

Eighty entries attended the Mother’s Day meeting on Sunday at Warwick’s Sandy Creek Raceway.

One of the highlights was the Patrizicorse Finance KZ2 Challenge which had 14 of the best KZ2 drivers in the country in attendance. The current Australian Champion came home third after some intense battles. Just beating him into second on an ‘all points’ system was Taylah Agius. It could have been a 1st place trophy for her, but a problem at the start of the final saw Taylah shuffled back a few places leaving Dylan Drysdale to take the win.

There was some fabulous racing once again in the 4SS classes with Warwick breaking its record attendance number in a 4SS Junior class with 10 juniors taking to the track.

Also, there was a tribute from the Restricted Masters & Mediums (Pie Eaters & Old Buggers) for their mate and fellow racer Jimmy Fritz, who hung up the race suit to go into semi racing retirement.
