Karting Cancelled in Victoria

No karting can take place in Victoria this weekend due to the five-day lockdown imposed by the State Government that kicks in at 11:59pm tonight (Friday).

This will affect a number of race meetings and organised practice days.

The Outlaw and speedway karts will not be able to run their twilight meeting at Laang this Saturday, and the club race days at Geelong and Stony Creek have been cancelled.

It’s going to have a massive effect on the opening round of the Australian Kart Championship at Ipswich the following weekend. Queensland has re-introduced a border pass for Victorians to enter the state, however anyone from 36 local Government areas in Greater Melbourne must quarantine for 14 days, making it impossible for them to attend.
