Lonato Track Licence Suspended

The Italian Motorsport Federation, ACI Sport, has suspended the track licence for the South Garda Karting circuit at Lonato for the duration of the investigation into the incident at the recent KZ World Championship.

The ACI Sport statement (translated from Italian) is below:

“Following the events that took place in Lonato on 4th October during the World Championship race in the KZ category, the Sporting Judge, accepting the request of the ‘Procura Sportiva’, decided the preventive suspension of all licences attributable to Luca Corberi, Marco Corberi and those of the Lonato circuit of which the latter is the General Manager.

“The measure is applicable immediately and will be valid for the duration of the investigation.”
