Poll: Should Australia Adopt Homologated Cadet Chassis?

The CIK-FIA now requires the use of homologated chassis in the ‘international’ 60 Mini category.

The governing body has stipulated this is for technical reasons and the President, Felipe Massa, says he looks forward “to seeing as many ASNs as possible following these new rules. It is important to train the youngest Drivers in a similar way all over the world.”

  • The list of homologated equipment for the Mini class over the next four years (1/1/20 to 31/12/23) is HERE

Should Australia join in and utilise this standard set of rules and run homologated equipment? Or should the local rules be left as they are, thus allowing un-homologated locally built karts, older (pre-2020) chassis and even one-off specials to compete?
