On Sunday 4th of March Newcastle Kart Racing Club held its 3rd round of the Club Championship which was a computer grid format, with all points count over four heats.
There was some extremely close racing throughout the day in all classes. All of the Cadet classes ran in dry conditions, with Jack Childs winning all heats for the day in the Cadet 12 class and Christian Chateau winning Cadet 9.
The KA Junior classes were also run in the dry with a late storm arriving just in time for the KA3 Junior final, which saw Thomas Hayman clean sweep the day. With the late storm hitting just before the final, all the drivers in KA3 Junior agreed to stay on slicks. It was certainly an element of fun watching them drifting around the track.
In KA3 Senior Light it was Kody Garland that took the win in three of the four races whilst being pushed by Tyler Di Legge all day.
In Tag 125 Light, Hayden Jackson was awarded the win after Logan Dockett had won all the heat races but had a DNF in the final and with 16 competitors in the class, this did not help his points for the day.
