A second round of travel grants have opened that could see karters in the Northern Territory able to access funds to assist competing interstate.
Supported by the Northern Territory Government, the funding is for NT-residents travelling interstate to compete between July 1 and the 31st of December, 2026.
“MotorsportsNT is pleased to announce that applications to access Round 2 of the MSNT Competitor Travel Grant Scheme are now open” MotorsportNT stated.
“Club members intending to travel interstate to compete in their chosen motorsports discipline are encouraged to apply for travel grant assistance by contacting their club executive for details to access the travel assistance scheme.
“We are appreciative of the ongoing support from the Northern Territory Government which enables MotorsportsNT to offer financial assistance to competitors intending to compete interstate around Australia.”
Twenty six applications were received for the first round of funding, covering January to June. These came from a wide variety of disciplines, including circuit racing, drag racing, road racing, rallying, quad bike racing plus speedway, bitumen and dirt karting.
