Hailing from the small town of Chinchilla, Tyler Lees is quickly making a name for himself on the karting circuit.
While the Dalby Kart Club is his home track, Ipswich has become his clear favourite.
Tyler has already built an impressive resume, racing at venues including Dalby, Ipswich, Warwick, Toowoomba, Bundaberg, Ipswich Dirt Track, and Gladstone. He is coached by Tyler Greenbury and proudly races under the Tyler Greenbury Racing team.

His journey began in March 2024 at just five years old at Dalby. At that first meeting, Tyler clocked a best lap of 1:09. Since then, his progress has been nothing short of remarkable—now holding a blistering personal best of 32.51 seconds at the same track. His rapid improvement was recognised in February 2026 when he was awarded Most Improved Driver at the Wayne Bradley Memorial, cementing his place in Dalby Kart Club history.
Tyler wasted no time stepping up his racing. Just a week after turning six, he began practising at Ipswich. Three days after his seventh birthday, he lined up for his first race there, finishing an impressive 6th out of 12 Cadet 9 P-Platers, with a best lap time of 58.27 seconds. He backed that up at Toowoomba (Round 2) with a 7th place finish out of 10 and a best lap of 47.27 seconds.
Warwick Kart Club presented a challenge, where Tyler recorded his first DNF in the final, but true to form, he bounced back strongly. In his final P-Plate appearance at Toowoomba, he secured 3rd place—his first podium finish—with a best lap of 45.88 seconds.

Looking ahead, Tyler is gearing up for an exciting milestone at Ipswich on May 2, 2026, where he will compete in his first Cadet 9 race without P-Plates. Beyond that, he has his sights set on stepping onto the national stage at his first AKC Round 2 event at Ipswich.
