Masters Invited

Karting Australia and the Coffs Harbour Kart Club have reached out to eligible drivers with information regarding the Australian Kart Masters on June 5 to 7.

Catering for drivers 35 years and beyond, will the entry comprise just current karters, or will we see drivers from the past – karting legends and the grid fillers – dust off the old helmet and race suit and head to Coffs for a comeback?

The event will cater for a wide range of classes across various weights and ages (see below), but just one class – KA3 Masters – will hold ‘Green Plate’ Australian Championship status.

Grey plates will be awarded to the winners of the other classes.

“This event isn’t just about competition; it’s about bringing together the experienced racers who’ve helped shape karting into what it is today” a press release stated.

“If you’re over 35, this is your chance to get back on track, reconnect with the community, and race alongside drivers who share your passion and history in the sport.”

The Masters will be live streamed, though the exact detail of this is tba. While acknowledging this is a serious competition, the organising committee stress it will also be a relaxed, social event “built around respect for the racers who’ve been there and done it.”

“Whether you’ve still got the helmet ready to go or it’s been sitting on the shelf for a while, we’d love to see you out there.”
