Gippsland Go Kart Club honoured former President Graeme Monds with special plaques for the Junior and Cadet final winners at its March club race day on Sunday.
Monds passed away one year ago on March 25 and it was his wish to continue to support junior club day racers at his local club. Graeme Monds Memorial trophies were awarded to the winners of the final in each of the cadet and junior classes, plus cash prizes for the top three.
A solid field of Junior Heavy plus extra drivers across the 4SS classes swelled the total entry numbers. Next event at Morwell is the club day on April 19. The Golden Power Series hits the venue in June.
