For most classes, the Gympie Gold Grand Prix finals were wet!

Cooloola Coast Kart Club hosted 120 entries on Sunday for the 2026 edition of the Gympie Gold GP. The Noise reports the event was held in very changeable weather conditions which made set up for almost every heat a lottery as showers rolled through during the finals.

Kev didn’t get many photos this time (“I was soaked in the commentary tower!”), but local photographer Tracey grabbed some shots (link to more, below).

It was another event where several drivers experienced loose wheels, most likely due to last-minute setup changes and tyre selection.
