Despite having lost all its equipment in a workshop fire a couple of weeks ago, Jackson Souslin-Harlow has confirmed his eponymous team will contest the opening round of the Australian Kart Championship.
“I can say 100% that we will be racing round 1 and starting the championship the same way we would have liked” he posted on social media.
“It’s been a massive process in the background, but I never give up and this is another example of that.”
The team will have its new workshop up and running next Monday, plus new karts and equipment.
“The situation is definitely far from ideal and it’s a massive expense to get up and running again” he added.
“We still have not missed a weekend from the track since all this and we are not gonna start now. The team had a successful weekend at Newcastle last weekend with some class wins and class podiums. The team also had a great weekend down at Golden Power Series at Pucka.”
Jackson expressed his gratitude for the amount of help that’s kept the team going.
“In all this everyone has stuck by me and I’ll make sure that we go bigger and better then before.
“I will not let others people’s mistakes ruin everything I have worked towards over the offseason to make sure we win championships this year.
“Thank you to everyone for the support and messages throughout all this and we will see you all at Round 1.”
